Six people have been killed so far -- including journalist Al Hosseini Abou Dief, who died from a shotgun wound -- and around 350 were injured during the ongoing clashes between protesters and government forces.
The Egypt Independent newspaper claimed that two of the dead were a woman and teenager. Egypt's Interior Ministry also reported that 32 people were arrested.
Three top officials have already resigned over the violence, including the chief of the constitutional committee, Zaghloul El-Balshi, who announced his resignation on Egyptian television on Wednesday night.

Despite recent developments, Morsi and his office have insisted
that the planned constitutional referendum will proceed on December 15.
Egyptian Vice President Mahmoud Mekky also said that
"the door is open" to amend the disputed articles of
the Constitution ahead of the referendum.

ว่าด้วยรัฐธรรมนูญฉบับใหม่ในวันที่ 15 ธ.ค.2555
โดยกลุ่มผู้ชุมนุมที่ออกมาประท้วงคัดค้าน
ไม่พอใจการออกกฤษฏีกาพิเศษครั้งนี้
และมองว่ารัฐสภาอียิปต์กำลังเพิ่มอำนาจพิเศษให้ตัวเอง
เปรียบเหมือนอำนาจฟาโรห์ใหม่ในอียิปต์ ทั้งนี้กลุ่มผู้ชุมนุม
ที่ออกมาคัดค้านนั้น..ทางนายโมซีร์เชื่อว่า
การออกมาค้านครั้งนี้ได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก
ระบอบอำนาจเผด็จการของนายออสนี มูบารัก
ที่หมดอำนาจลงไปก่อนหน้านี้

นายโมฮัมเหม็ด โมซีร์ จากพรรคมุสลิมภราดรภาพ
เป็นผู้ชนะการเลือกตั้งชิงตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดีอียิปต์
(24 มิ.ย.2555 ) ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นประธานาธิบดีคนแรก
นับตั้งแต่การก่อจลาจลต่อต้านผู้นำเผด็จการ เมื่อปีที่แล้ว (2554)
จนนำไปสู่การก้าวลงจากอำนาจ
ด้วยการลาออกของประธานาธิบดีฮอสนี มูบารัค
นายโมฮัมเหม็ด โมซีร์ ผู้สมัครจากพรรคมุสลิมภราดรภาพ
ได้คะแนนเสียงทั้งสิ้น 13,230,131 คะแนน
หรือคิดเป็นร้อยละ 51.73 จากการเลือกตั้ง
ชิงตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดีอียิปต์ เมื่อวันที่ 16-17 มิ.ย.2555
จึงถือเป็นผู้ชนะการเลือกตั้ง เมื่อได้คะแนนเสียงเกินกึ่งหนึ่ง
ขณะที่คู่แข่งคนสำคัญ คือ นายอาเหม็ด ชาฟิก
ซึ่งเป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีคนสุดท้ายในสมัย
ของรัฐบาลประธานาธิบดีฮอสนี มูบารัค
ได้คะแนนเสียงไป 12,347,380 คะแนน
